Danielle Lydia Sheather, RYT 200hr first found yoga through dance as a means of cultivating calmness in an ever-hectic profession. After a 12 year career as a professional dancer, touring the world, she has come home again and discovered the yogic way of life. In February 2009, Danielle graduated from Sonic Yoga’s 200hr Teacher Training Program in Manhattan New York . Not only has her list of teachers been extensive she has also studied many styles of yoga and has thus found her unique style of teaching hatha and vinyasa yoga.  She is also fluent in French and a native Canadian.

Class Description for Hatha Yoga:

In this class focus is on asana and pranayama. Asanas are held for a longer period of time in order to elicit the relaxation response through breath as well as to teach proper alignment so as to prevent injury. Discussion of balancing the nadis and principles of Praana and apaana are will be manipulated through pranayama exercises as well as mudra and mantra. 

Class Description for Vinyasa:

    In this class, there is a steady maintenance of flow in and between asana. Included is a short warm-up to prepare the body for the movements of Surya Namaskar A and B which are then followed by other, more advanced, postures. Focus for this class is the thorough manipulation of the body through asanas in all ranges of movement all the while maintaining a continuous flow.
